Yesterday I was at the beach so I didn’t get to post news. Today I will be getting some site renovating done, so feel free to go through some pages. Two days until we get down to the final four of Countdown to 99! I have decided last season will be Season One, this one will be Deason two, and the next one is Season Three. I decided some stuff for next season, like more than one person can get a skill. For example two people could do Woodcutting (but they still submit their own scores. I will start accepting regestrations in September and it wil start late October. I also figure that each season of the year will have a countdown to 99 (But once I get a lot of people, I may only be able to do 2 seasons a year.)

On the No Stop Shop page, I updated it, and until the end of countdown to 99 everything is 20% off.

Spirt of Summer Guide

Requirements: 35 Prayer, 26 Farming, 40 Constuction, 19 Summoning, completed Restless Ghost, able to survive in WIldy.

Items Needed: Ghostspeak amulet, Rake, Bucket, Watering can, Hammer, 4 steel nails, 2 planks, seed dibber, limpwurt seed, several Spirirt Wolf Pouch, several Desert Wyrm Pouch, and several Spirirt Scorpion Pouch. (I’d recommend a games necklace to teleport to bounty hunter and clan wars, and food.)

1. Start quest by going to ruins north of clan wars. You will see a spiri that moves. Follow it into the house, and you will go to the other dimension.

2. Talk to the male spirirt and do the opposite of his emotes. Yes-No, Angry-Bow, Cheer-Yes, Shrug-Wave. Talk to the kid when all the rings are off of her. Go to the western ruins.

3. Get to the spirirt kid and she will want to clean her face. Go back to the real world and use the bucket on the barrel. go back to the spirirt world, and talk to the kid again.

4. Go back to the real world near the statue and get a hollow log. Go back to the “fake world” and she will eat the mushrooms.

5. She then wants a rag from the wardrobe near her. Go to the real world and use nails and planks on it. Return to the spirit world.

6. Now, she wants a doll from her plant. Go to real world and rake weeds then search for a limpurt seed or bring your own. Plant and water it. After it grows, 17.5 minutes, go back to “fake world” for a cutscene.

7. She will then bring you to her farm, to bring offerings to their altar, then get 5 bones and a skull as offerings in the real world. Bring them to the altar.  1 disc will get out of the ground.

8. Run to it and Summon your wolf. When your wolf, you, and the monster (the new strongest monster in the game!) dismiss your familiar. The beast will get shocked and a second disc will come up.

9. Summon your Desert Wyrm and get to the other on, and dismiss it just like the other one.

10. Go to the thrid disc with your scorpion. (When I went to the third disc, the beast dissapeared for a while, probably just a glitch. After about an hour of NPC’s yelling, Quest COmplete!

Sign-ups for the next Countdown to 99 will be September and Ocotber 2010. No, just kidding, September and October 2008. It will begin October 25, so save the date! Also, to people in this contest, if you get eliminated this season there is a way to come back, which I will reveal August 16, when we are down to the final few.

Ekaj Renrut: Runecrafting, 24 to 26, Gained 2.

Jon Lester: Fletching, 76 to 76, Gained 0.

St Zaakhy: Strength, 59 to 59, Gained 0.

Green Team Total Levels: 2

Dragonmann23: Woodctuiing, 75 to 75, Gained 0.

Nalyd Renrut: Summoning, 30 to 32, Gained 2.

Nomolos 35: Crafting, 43 to 43, Gained 0.

Black Team Total Levels: 2

A tie! Well, because of that, the winning team is the one that has gained the most overall. Green team gained 13 and Black team gained….12! Black team loses. =( Nalyd Renrut (me) is the best of the worst.  Wow, this is so hard, who will I nominate? Lol. I nominate Dragonmann23 because he is a high level and wouldn’t be able to gain many more levels. Nomolos 35 is also nominated because he hasn’t gained any level over three weeks, just like the other two eliminated. The person leaving Countdown to 99 is… Nomolos 35. Ekaj and I have kind of become self appointed team leaders because we’ve gained the most levels overall. I remember last season when people gained 5 levels a week, I guess times have changed. Well, Jon Lester quit, St Zaakhy dropped out and Dragonmann23 had a fight with a friend (not me) and hasn’t been on lately. Either way, no drop outs this time.

Choas Elemental Letter

It is a big event when C.E. answeres a letter. I will try to decode the letter: (All quotes directly from www.runescape.com)

“Who? Nigel! Who? A smothering yeti, that’s what. He has a brother, you know – an outpost up a family tree.” Maybe a quest about yeti’s, I don’t think yeti’s are on RuneScape yet though.

“Two seasons in quick succession? That’s the work of rockhopper. I saw him a minute ago…singing Hollywood, Flesh and Blood.” A rockhopper is a penguin. Perhaps seasons will come and penguins will sing in the Winter!

“Stir a vodka nutcracker, and find something hidden in the near raving. The choice is green or yellow during centrifugal – search within: I’m in, I game.” Nutcracker- a wodden soldier to cracks nuts (walnuts you perverts….) Vodka is alcohol. Vodka and nutcrackers come out at Christmas time! Green and yellow, green christmas trees and yellow stars….

“Nothing can save him: simulated udder.” Robot cow, perhaps?

“Clue in Growth Journal shows a culprit.” Clue Journal could possibly be an achievement diary.

“Guaranteed slimes sing, or am I just repeating myself?” Slime? I think a quest has some slime…. More sining?

The other day, the RuneScape book came out. I think the WIlderness quest is coming soon. I have a feeling of which team is gonna lose this week and next week. Just a reminder, keep training! so far nobody but me and Ekaj hav egained any levels this week, and last!

Black team wins! =) Now Ekaj Renrut will pick two people two put up for elimination. Ekaj chose Jon Lester and Max Bulldog for nomination. Jon Lester because he was the highest level. Max Bulldog because he hasn’t gained a single level. The person going home is… Max. Gaining 0 levels over two weeks is a little pathetic, even though Vaskor gained 1 level all of last season and made it to the final 3. My bets are on Black team to win next week, just a guess…

Sailing?

Has anyone else heard about sailing? Rumors have been spreading about it, but I am not sure why. I had heard that one day people saw it on the hiscores. I think sailing would be a great addition. RuneScape has never gone underwater, only a little, and this would be a great addition. Imagine, level 10 sailing you can make canoes, 50 you can make submarines. Perfect additon to RuneScape.
