Story Contest, Countdown to 99
Story Contest: I entered a story contest on the RuneScape Forums, and I passed into the next round! Here is my entry:
He was no stranger to battle but today he would be pitted against friends and family. He had hoped that one day he would return to Lumbridge as a triumphant hero but instead he was returning as an emissary of death.
He walked through the front gate of the castle, regretting the crimes he had committed. The guards surrounded him, as they marched him into a small chamber on the very top of the castle, where the Duke of Lumbridge, a Mage, and a Priest awaited.
“Nalyd! Step forward!” the Mage called out. He walked forward, hiding the poisonous dagger in his pocket. The Mage pulled some Nature, Earth, and Water Runes out of his sleeve and cast the Entangle spell on him. He tried to break free, but found himself paralyzed.
“Saradomin is angry with you,” the Priest said pulling out a prayer book. “You have dishonored your heritage by helping Zamorak. Today, you are going to be judged by your relatives and friends.” The Duke clapped his hand and his parents and fellow clan members walked in. His dad, who had been the first citizen of Gielinor to actually meet Saradomin, had taught the boy all he knew. How could he have let him down? The Priest raised his prayer and said those who wish to say final words do so now.” Nobody stepped forward. “Today, the judgement is in the hands those who care about you. Members of Nalyd’s Clan, Wild Heroes, please come to a consensus of whether your leader is guilty or innocent.” The team turned to each other.
The second-in-command stepped forward. “We find Nalyd guilty.”
The Priest turned to his father. “Is your son guilty?”
“He is guilty of many things, but a criminal he is not,” and he left.
Countdown to 99: I got alll the scores, so now we need the updates Saturday.
