Countdown to Countdown to 99!

Although expected to start in October, Countdown to 99 will be starting in September! I didn’t want to start right after season two, but Countdown will be starting September 12!

Some changes to note: Scores will be posted Friday, and the elimination will happen Friday night, that way you can see all the scores posted throughout Friday.

Amaurice, the Slayer! Amaruice comes to us as a newcomer, determined to level up slayer!

Calebchiam, the Summoner! Another newcomer, trying to beat last season’s runner-up!

Cashman286, the Thief! Chasman286 may be new, but he started gaining levels the day he signed up!

Celeste Ador, the Firemaker! One of our many new contestants, and one of our many Firemakers!

Chiafriend12, the Fletcher! Lacks confidence, but might make it!

Ekaj Renrut, the Farmer! Returning again, to claim the throne!

Jon Lester, the Miner! Another familiar face, hopefull to finally win his own game!

Max Bulldog, the Agility Guy! The first contestant to train Agility, Max Bulldog has come to make history!

Masterp443, the Runecrafter! Perhaps somebody feels left out of a certain new guild?

Nalydpenguin, the Mage! The lowest level Mage, Defence, and Prayer Pure you will ever meet!

Nalyd Renrut, the Smither! Nalyd wants to find a new money maker, and get ready for Mobilisng Armies!

Revenant235, the Newb Miner! Another Miner, and newcomer!

Ruler7120, the Woodcutter! Another newcomer, and our only woodcutter this time!

Scuzul, the other Firemaker! Scuzul is a newcomer, who wants to be the last Firemaker standing!

Spencemac724, the Strong person! Not many people choose melee skill for Countdown, but that didn’t stop this bodybuilder!

Stinkowing, the Cook! Stinkowing wants “the skillcape of his dreams.”

Vaskor, the Veteran Firemaker! Vaskor has been in every season, and is ready to heat up the competition!

Will any of these hopefulls get 99? Is this the season of champions? We will start to find out, September 12!

Hunter Guide

Quest’s:Priest in Peril

Items needed: 5 bird snares, 15 box traps, 7 small nets, 7 ropes, full/set of larupia, water skin’s, and desert robes

Now for the real training…

level, animal, iteam, area

1-9… Crimson Swafts with 1 bird snare on the jungle beach, also remember to drop meat and keep feathers.

9-19… Copper Longtails with 1 bird snare in the woods, same as Crimson’s drop meat keep feathers.

19-29… Tropical Wagtails with 2 bird snares in the jungle, same as Crimson’s and Coppers.

29-49… Swamp Lizzy’s with 4 or 5 ropes and small nets, this is in the swamp, just drop em’ when cough.

49-59… Orange Sally’s with 4 or 5 ropes and small nets, like 20 water skins and desert robes, this is in the Al Kharid desert, same as Swamps, just drop em’.

59-63 [70 if wanted]… Red Sally’s with 4 or 5 ropes and small nets, this is found at the temple, [i prefer to hunt and the northern area of it], same as above just drop em’.

63-99 [or 70-99]…Red Chinchoma’s! when i say 70 if you want, you really start to catch them at 70 but you can start at 63 if you want. You need 5 box traps but i say you should bring more just in case you lose some. They’re found in the jungle. I recommend the northern most area by a river/lake/pond. DONT DROP THE RED CHINZ atm [at the moment] they are worth 730gp each and they stack-up [meaning 300 only take up 1 spot]

Future of the Site

Over the past few months (Almost a year, wow) I have promised lots of things. BY now most of you know 5% of those promises happen. Here is a list of things I will be releasing over an unknown period time.

1. Live Chat Help! I made a chatbox a while ago but nobody came. When it starts, i will set up sessions in which people can come in and ask me questions. I will Tivo it in case somebody wants to watch already asked questions.

2. New Header! Jon Lester might be helping me in this, I believe it is more than due.

3. Quest Videos! All to necessary, and I am starting with nonmember quests. I feel like I have neglected already released quests and I am trying to help.

4. Skill Guides! I wrote one and gave up. I am planning to write a few, maybe three or four, and release them all at once.

5. Events, Trips, and Parties! I have had this at the bottom of my sidebar since November 2007 and updated it once. Two people came, w00t! I think if I do more, more people will attend.

6. More Employees! This site will never be complete, no site is except those around since the start, and have never stopped. Or the ones with more than two people. I am hoping to get more people on this site to make it more efficient! A person for quest guides, somebody for skill guides, etc.

7. Movies! I’ve had this page up for a while and nobody has allowed me to put their movies up. I am hoping on finding a few that will let me, begging until they say yes, and changing them each week.

8. Place of the Week! I started this but ended it very fast. Jon Lester says he will re-start it!

Many others will come, but these are the eight to look out for.

Craziness!

I got exactly 3,900 views yesterday! (And they’re still coming today.) Thanks everyone for making yesterday this site’s most popular day ever, and brining our total views up to 10,000! I was pleasantley surprised when two people commented, then added me in game and thanked me! I was a little bummed that we didn’t get any Countdown to 99 sign-ups, but the massive amount of views was worth it!

for all of you people who came yesterday im sad that no one added me Jon Lester but hey! its fine ive had other people add me in the past and i didnt help with this quest guide. the only thing i have to say is… all the people who came here from google and are new to this site plz press Ctrl+D RIGHT NOW it will help you find the way back to this site later! … Gosh… 3,900 views and 33 comments… when i started on this wonderful site i can remember it having 500 views and about 2 people all ways commenting on our site and telling us “keep up the good work!” and you never really think that you actually did a good job until u get new people coming, over 1k views and a top google search… so by god Nalyd… we did it!

All Fired Up Quest Guide!

Requirements: 43 Firemaking

Items: 45 Logs, tinderbox, Varrock teleports (To teleport to Varrock)

1. Talk to king Roal to start the quest.

2. Go to Blaze Shapeye, SOuth of the Priest in Peril temple, with 20 logs (all of the same kind) and a tinderbox. Afer talking with him, put the logs in the beacon and light it.

3. Talk to Blaze again and he will tell you to Light the beacon west of the Rag and Bone Man. (Get your other 25 logs) Light the other beacon and return to Blaze.

4. He needs you to put your 5 remaning logs in the beacon. Go to King Roald to complete the quest.

Reward: 20k, 5.5k Firemaking exp, 1 quest point, access to lighting beacons.

Countdown Confusion

Many people told me they couldn’t play until contest started, so I decided we wil do teams. We might do it like first season with only a few people on the team, and some have already been elminated. I don’t know yet, it might actually be a surprise.

I thought it would make an interesting contest, “Who could reach 99 first?” and before you know it, I was accepting sign-ups for season one! Season One’s winner was Nalyd Renrut and Season Two’s Winner was Dragonmann23.

How it works: Contestants try to level up whatever skill they signed up in over a span of a few weeks, or until they get eliminated. This season some things are changing however. Last season, if somebody was already doing a skill you wanted, this time you can! There will be teams again. I will be determining Who gets eliminated by how much they gain in a week.
Rules: Please pick a skill on the hiscores so I can look it up when getting all the scores. If not, I must have contact with you before I can post the score, which delays announcing eliminations. Don’t sign-up if you plan on not getting any levels.

sup fellow runescape…er’s well. good to see another contest! if any of you out there have other ideas for contests please please comment on it! and nalyd renrut isn’t lying it really is a surprise on what we do for CT99 (countdown to 99). also remember to tell all of your firneds about the 3rd session of CT99 and tell them to sign up so that you have more fun trying to beat your friends and have it know on our site that you are, the best skiller of runescape!
